A high-quality instrument develops its own voice over time. Especially with intensive use, tonal nuances, mechanical details, and responsiveness may change.
I will gladly continue to support you after the construction of your guitar, offering professional maintenance at regular intervals.
In this way, any potential damage can be identified and corrected in good time, preserving both its beauty and tonal quality. You should always be able to rely on your instrument in your musical life. Regular maintenance also helps to safeguard its long-term value.
Woods naturally react to external influences, especially fluctuations in humidity. As a result, the tensions in the body change, the joints are stressed and the resilience of the arching can suffer. Extensive use causes signs of wear with possible detrimental effects on the sound, appearance and playing comfort.
The maintenance service includes the following services:
- Inspecting the guitar for possible damage, such as cracks or loose bars,
- Cleaning the fingerboard and polishing the frets
- Checking the string action, nut notches, fretboard and fret fit
- Checking the function and fit of the tuning machines
- Cleaning and care of the lacquered surfaces
- Making slight tonal corrections (on request)
Should additional work be necessary or desired on the basis of a careful analysis, I will provide you with a detailed quotation.
I recommend maintenance at intervals of 5 years.
