Philosophy
Since founding my workshop in 2002, I have dedicated myself to refining the guitar in terms of sound quality, expressive depth and power, and technical solutions – with the aim of establishing it as a concert instrument equal in standing to the traditional orchestral instruments.
To achieve this goal, I have adopted the following approach:
- All my models are designed with the concert hall and for the requirements of professional contemporary music performance in mind - this means meeting the highest technical and tonal demands. My benchmark is the orchestral instruments and the human voice.
- My approach to guitar making is holistic. It encompasses the entire acoustic process - starting with the attack of the string, the radiation of the sound waves and its projection in the room, until the processing in the human ear and in the brain. Psychoacoustic principles are a key element in defining and pursuing my tonal goals.
- I categorically reject any compromise in sound quality in favour of superficial volume.
- I believe that an in-depth understanding of the history and development of the guitar is crucial for unlocking and further developing the instrument's diverse potential. I am guided by traditional sound aesthetics in working to enhance and to cultivate the sound of the guitar.
- My principle is a present sound with stylistic openness, reflecting the diversity of contemporary music, and allows musicians to express themselves freely.
- I ensure that my guitars have a clear, classical appearance, supporting a confident, elegant stage presence, independent of folkloristic and fashionable styles.
- My instruments are designed to accompanying you reliably in your everyday musical life, inspiring you for many years and enabling you to develop your artistic personality in the best possible way.
