Ordering Information
Commissioning
If you are considering commissioning a classical guitar from my workshop, I would be pleased to hear from you.
I will gladly send you my current price list as well as information on the estimated waiting time.
You are also very welcome to arrange a personal consultation at my workshop. In a calm and focused setting, we can discuss your tonal and technical requirements and which model would be the ideal choice for your future instrument.
To secure a place on my waiting list, a deposit of €500 is required, preferably by bank transfer. Please note that this amount is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
Once the deposit has been received, I will provide you with a form to specify your preferred details – such as tonewoods, neck dimensions and other aspects. I will, of course, be happy to advise you throughout the process.
After all specifications have been finalised, I will send you a quotation. Should you accept, a written confirmation of your order will follow.
Changes to your order can be made up until the beginning of construction.
Terms of Payment
Please note that all prices on my price list are quoted excluding VAT.
For customers residing within the European Union, the applicable German VAT of 19 % will be added. This tax is waived if you provide a valid VAT identification number at the time of ordering.
For orders from outside the EU, additional charges such as customs duties and import VAT may apply upon entry into your country. These fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and will be charged by the relevant authorities or the shipping company. If you pick up the instrument in person, I am required to charge VAT. You will receive the necessary export documents from me, which must be presented to customs when leaving the EU. Once I have received the officially stamped proof of export, I will promptly refund the VAT.
Payment is preferably made by bank transfer.
Six months prior to the expected completion of the instrument, an second down payment of one third of the total price becomes due; you will receive an invoice in due time. The remaining balance must be settled before the guitar is handed over or shipped.
Until full payment has been received, the instrument remains my property.
Delivery
I am delighted if you choose to collect your guitar personally from my workshop. This also gives us the opportunity to adjust the instrument together to your individual preferences.
Alternatively, I ship my guitars worldwide by express courier. The shipping charges billed correspond to the actual costs incurred, and transport insurance is included.
Please note that the risk of transport passes to the customer once the instrument has been handed over to the carrier.
Return Policy
You are welcome to test your ordered instrument thoroughly within a period of seven days. If it does not meet your expectations, please contact me immediately. Should the issue not be resolved, you may return the instrument within this period, provided it shows no signs of use and the return shipping costs are covered by you. The purchase price, less the initial deposit of €500, will be refunded once the instrument has been resold. Please note that any expenses incurred for restoring the instrument to its original condition will be deducted from the purchase price.
For instruments with special custom features the right of return does not apply.
For instruments already completed and offered for sale, a 14-day return policy applies. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return the instrument in perfect, unused condition, at your own cost and responsibility, without having to provide any justification. In this case, the purchase price will be refunded after the instrument has been received and inspected.
Warranty
Every new instrument comes with a two-year warranty, as required by law, provided it is handled with due care. Damage resulting from improper use or unsuitable storage cannot be covered. Please also take note of my care instructions.
